Update at U.S. Air Force Base - Miami

Last conversation with U.S. Military Personnel.  The E-Z-Go utility cart used around the base has not been plugged in for seven weeks.

Initial testing at Deer Valley Golf and Estates has been going very well over the last three weeks. One of the tests that we performed was to run one round a day without plugging the carts in at night. On the fifth day one cart ran out on the ninth hole, the other cart was still going strong and probably would have gone 18 holes but we decided to retire it to, the low battery light was on.

Test results indicate that you would only have to charge every 2nd day, saving half your power bill. We recomend you charge every day still saving power but this will pro long you battery life, up to twice as long.

Conditions were not ideal. We had two days that were cloudy and every day was well below freezing in the morning. The highest recorded during the five days was 65 degrees farenheit. Deer Valley is built along the side of the a valley where ridership is 97% because of the elevation changes. We will test further once the weather warms up to 70 degrees farenheit or higher.

A  U.S. Air Force base is testing on an E-Z-Go cart running around the base. They charge once every 3 to 4 days and may only have to charge once or twice a month. We'll update.

Los Angeles Department of Water and Power has expressed interest in purchasing units for their public golf courses. A solar powered re-bate may be re-activated in July/04.

University of Las Vegas has purchased two units for their E-Z-Go golf carts that are used to run around the university.

Deer Valley test: the week of June 7, 2004. Carts ran for one round per day for six consecutive days without being plugged in.Test ended prematurely after six days because cars were mistakenly plugged in. Further testing will commence first week of July. Weather during the test period was sunny for 4 days followed by clouds with some rain during last two days.
